Met with Kara at 7.15am for breakfast at the unit base. She gave me a run through of my duties as a runner for art department.
-I would be painting set/ scenic finishes, sourcing and making props.
-Keeping a float and buying anything needed.
-Assisting on set for any changes involving art department when required.

First day mainly involved 'dirtying down' some areas of GMAC (Glasgow Media Access Centre) to fit in with other locations. Stippling a yellow ochre wash onto the wall with a towelling rag and adding a raw umber wash into the corners to accentuate shadows.
Kara was so organised, planning a week in advance. I spent a day painting and marvelling at her ability to organise as she set up my work load for the following weeks.
Breakfast and lunch with the crew, which was a novelty for me. I spent the time at lunch wondering what everyones jobs were.
