The Puppet Theatre

After the waves were done, I moved onto the puppet theatre.
It was HUGE.
Gary reckoned we could get it marked up, painted and ready in two days.
This was my next challenge - speed.

Now I knew and had practised all the different techniques I had employed to help realise the design, I had to use them to paint with speed.

The mark up took me til lunchtime on the first day - Gary worked ridiculously fast beside me and I realised Iwas spending too much time on detail I could put in later, so stepped up my game.

The best part is always putting the paint on.
This is when you put in the lovin - on the finish.

I had another wee try with the trompe l'oeil and it worked incredibly well I think.
I had someone actually say they thought it was a shadow from the layer on top!!
yippee! best feelin in the world!
All the same stages as before were applied :-
wee shadow / wee highlight / texture roller / spatter

and done!
it looks just like the reference -almost as if I was copying it  hahaha!

ooh looks just like the reference! :D

The journey continues with a bit of team appreciation in 'Team Panto'
